Blue Penciling an Application
Jul. 22nd, 2020 01:59 amI’m awake after a major nap, and planning to go back to sleep soon.
Anyway, in addition to searching claims to find whether they match what has been invented before, and other major issues, it’s part of my job to write objections to minor informalities in people’s claims and specifications. I was busy with that Tuesday afternoon, and bored (there was an unusual level of errors), so I sent an instant message to my supervisor, He Who May Not Be Named. Here’s the exchange:
NDR: I’m putting in some time as a patent attorney’s junior high school English teacher.
HWMNBN: ahh the rigors of the job
NDR: It’s still better than digging ditches.
HWMNBN: yes. especially on a hot day like today!
