Narrative Dreams

I sometimes have had the experience of what I call narrative dreams. In a regular dream, I act and am acted on within the dream, and I may hear what other people in the dream tell me. In a narrative dream, there is also a narrative voice telling me what's going on. If a non-narrative dream is like a play, a narrative dream is like a novel, or a scene from one, where there is an authorial voice describing events, as well as dialogue among the characters.

Do other people have this kind of dream experience?

I used to dream action movies. Sometimes I'll be in the middle of doing something and remember dreaming it months before: the activity, or angle of the light through the window, etc.
