Houseplants

I haven’t had much luck keeping plants alive, especially in my apartment, and I presume that the vegetation I abandoned last year in one of the Patent Office buildings perished long ago.

Still, hope springs eternal, so I bought thyme and a desert succulent at the farmers’ market, and put them on my windowsill. Let us hope for the best.

Aloe and mint are really easy to grow, but maybe not mint indoors since they tend to attract fruity flies. (I’m not sure if they are fruit flies, so I’m calling them fruity flies here). Mint grows like a weed. Truly.

I had a cactus in the shape of a brain in college, I liked it. ☺️ My last year, while moving out, I accidentally dropped it and the plant broke or split. I remembered wondering at the time if that event was either symbolic or prophetic. 🤨🤔 … 🙄😂😂😂😂😅
