Bright College Days

Having been a physics major at Amherst, I get this cartoon.

Actually, anyone could drop by a frat house or other dorm having a party; mostly I didn’t want to go, since I hated ugly music. I had to find other ways to meet girls who would then give me the cold shoulder.

I was an English major and recall only two parties. Plus a mint julep party organized by the Classics department in graduate school where I remember getting into an interesting discussion with a visiting professor who was an expert on inscriptions. No parties in law school.

Ha!! That’s true (no parties in law school). Though my med student housemates did have occasional get togethers to watch “House” on tv (I think????) and would invite me to join but I mostly passed.

If you want a party, start one. I got stuck at Ga State an extra year, waiting for that final French class, so I took a year of Russian, as you do. Right at the beginning of the quarter, I asked, "When's the party?" We had a party at the end of each of the three quarters; different folks hosted each time. It was lots of fun.
