No to Corporate Welfare
As I approached the farmers’ market this morning, a woman approached me with a petition. I signed it, urging Arlington’s County Board not to give any special subsidies or tax breaks to Amazon, which may put its second HQ in the DC area. She was with a group called Our Revolution, which grew out of the Bernie Sanders campaign. I told her I’m a classical liberal, not a Sanders voter, and moved my arms to show her my “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted for Gary Johnson” t-shirt.
She said the group was issue-oriented. I’ll be happy to work with Sanders voters, or Stein or Trump voters, when we agree on particular issues.
