Fireflies

When outdoors in the evenings recently, I have noticed quite a number of fireflies lighting up. I have read that fireflies are less common than they used to be, which is worrisome, so I am glad to report that at least in Arlington, there seems to be a fair-sized population.

That's good to know. They've definitely declined here in recent years.
