Election Day

Tuesday morning, I participated in a Democratic primary for what I think is the first time, and I participated 8n ranked choice voting for the first time. Before work, I walked a few blocks to the elementary school, and chose my favorite, second favorite, and third favorite out of three candidates for Arlington’s County Board. I also voted for other candidates, such as candidates for sheriff and Commonwealth’s attorney (Virginia’s version of a district attorney).

I do so wish ranked choice voting were the norm nation-wide for all elections.

I also envy the UK's six-month election season.
