Letter and Old Friends
I have emailed a letter to the Washington Post in response to an opinion column printed Friday, by Senator Elizabeth Warren and someone named Carroll Fife. I hope they’ll print it.
I was walking home from the supermarket when I saw a man and a woman approaching, all of us in masks. The woman greeted me, and it took a second, but I realized that she was Vicki, who used to live directly across the corridor before moving to an apartment elsewhere with her fiancé. It was good to see her and exchange a few words.
