Evil Be Thou My Good
I have received an email from “Arlingtonians for Housing Transparency,” a name which sounds much better than “Arlingtonians for Snob Zoning,” urging me to oppose the bad guys who think that Missing Middle Housing didn’t go far enough, and want 7- and 8-plex units: Maureen Coffey, Jonathan Dramgoole, and J.D. Spain. I should instead support the good girls, Susan Cunningham and Natalie Roy, who oppose the county’s Missing Middle Housing plan, which is described as not affordable for middle income residents, and as having failed to study the impact of increased density on Arlington.
I doubt that any degree of affordability or any amount of study of the impact of increased density would satisfy the NIMBYs, and I plan to obey the email inversely.
