Haiku Contest
There is something called the Combined Federal Campaign; federal employees may choose a charity or charities of their choice, and make a donation by check or payroll deduction. This is the time of year they’re trying to drum up interest, and a haiku contest was announced last week, inspiring me to submit an entry. I won, so I got the haiku and my name in this week’s USPTO newsletter. Your humble servant is not another Basho, but I did attempt a brief poem with a seasonal allusion:
Aid to the needy
Can be warmth in hearts and homes
In cooling autumn.
